KARACHI: Rangers conducted an operation in Karachi's Lyari area on Wednesday night and gunned down two suspects, while eight others were taken into custody in separate incidents from various parts of the city.
According to the Rangers spokesperson, a raid was conducted by the paramilitary force in Lyari's Sangoleen area in which an exchange of fire took place between Rangers and members of the Uzair Baloch gang. In the exchange of fire, two persons were killed who were identified as Naeem Lahoti and Zeeshan Ganth. Naeem Lahoti was wanted for the murder of sixty-five persons, demanding extortion money and kidnapping for ransom crimes.
Police sources claimed that in the operation that took place, gang-war suspect Aftab Raju was arrested and taken to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
