KARACHI: Sindh Assembly approved the Sindh Arms Act amendment bill today in a bid to launch a forensic firearm examination system to make crime investigations more efficient.
Under this Act, the dealer is bound to secure buyer’s fingerprints, NADRA CNIC and other relevant documents.
Then, both of them shall visit a forensic lab to get the data of firearm recorded in the database. The dealer shall fire the gun twice, which would be called ‘ballistic fire’ and provide the cartridges for records.
