ISLAMABAD: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) lawmakers in the Senate supported a resolution against party founder Altaf Hussain over his August 22 speech, days after a similar motion in the Sindh Assembly led to further divisions in the party.
The resolution was presented by Pakistan Muslim League-Q senator Saeed Mandokhel and was unanimously supported by all the political parties including members of the MQM.
The resolution condemned the MQM founder's incitement to attack a media house and demanded legal action against the MQM founder under Pakistan laws.
Legal action should also be taken against other accused people for violating Pakistani laws while strict action be taken for the attack on the media house and disturbing the law and order situation, said the resolution.
