KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has instructed all the banks to freeze bank accounts linked with militant organizations and their facilitators.
Following the orders of National Counter Terrorism Authority (Nacta), the SBP issued instructions to all the banks to freeze accounts of over 2000 individuals listed on the Fourth Schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) 1997.
The central bank provided information to the banks and financial institutions about terrorists and their facilitators 15 days ago.
