KARACHI: Khawaja Izhar Hassan said on Friday that the party no longer had any moral authority over MQM headquarters Nine Zero.
Speaking in Geo News' program Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath, Khawaja Izhar Hassan said that they no longer held any moral claim towards MQM's headquarters Nine Zero. He also responded to PSP chief Mustafa Kamal's demand that all MQM Pakistan people resign from their seats and distance themselves from party founder Altaf Hussain.
"We will not hand in our resignations on anyone's wishes," he said.
He however, did say that if arrested party workers were not released, then party members could discuss the issue of resignation. Khawaja Izhar Hassan said that Khursheed Begum Memorial Hall was the party's central office and it should be returned to them. This was a legitimate claim, he said.
