TAXILA: PTI chief Imran Khan said on Friday that if the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had been a proper institution, then PM Nawaz would be in handcuffs.

Addressing a large public rally, the PTI chief said that he who indulges in corruption destroys institution.

"Nawaz Sharif has placed his own crony and subservient as the chairman of NAB purposefully, so that he can get away with corruption," he said.

Imran said that it had been six months since the Panama Leaks scandal had come to light yet still the government had no answer.

"I guarantee you, if a transparent investigation had been held into the Panama Leaks issue, Nawaz would be thrown from the PM House straight into the jail," he said.

Imran said that the system always rotted from the top. He stated that when the Prime Minister indulged in financial corruption, then he loses the moral authority to forbid his ministers from doing the same. Subsequently, the subordinates of the ministers also get involved in corruption.

Imran also warned PML-N workers and supporters that if they tried to assault his party members or participants of the rally, then they would react.

"If we are assaulted on September 30 when we take to Raiwind, then hear me loud and clearly; we will not sit quietly like sheep," he said.

As usual, the PTI chief slammed Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq for not forwarding Nawaz Sharif's reference along with his own.

"I am ashamed to take his name. He has studied from Aitchison College but sold his conscience to Nawaz Sharif," said Imran.

Imran Khan said that those who taunted him by saying that he always took the 'solo flight', should know that he would take to the streets alone against corruption if it came to that point.
