ISLAMABAD: Defence minister Khawaja Asif issued a stern warning to India in response to accusations leveled from the country on Pakistan for being involved in the Uri attack on Sunday, which killed more than seventeen Indian troops.
In a tweet message, the federal defence minister said "State terrorism in Kashmir will prove expensive for Indians". In yet another tweet message, Khawaja Asif said that the possibility of Uri attack being an inside job could not be ruled out.

Tensions between both nuclear-armed nations have flared up ever since violence and riots broke out in occupied Kashmir after the murder of Burhan Wani by Indian security forces in July. More than one hundred innocent Kashmiri civilians were killed and thousands were injured in the violence that ensued.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reached New York on Monday to address the UN General Assembly, where he aims to highlight the Kashmir issue with global leaders.
