LAHORE: In his recent statement, PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain urged all opposition parties to unite against the government in what he termed as the 'final round'.

In a statement issued from Lahore, Chaudhry Shujaat said that the government of Pakistan had failed to tackle issues of corruption, national security and the Model Town massacre. Hence, the government had lost all moral authority to rule. He urged all opposition parties to unite and be prepared for the 'final round' against the government.

Shujaat claimed that the government was trying to stop the process of accountability in the wake of strong allegations of corruption against it. He alleged that the federal government was also protecting those who were involved in the Model Town massacre.

He said that if under circumstances such as these the opposition failed to unite, then it would be against national interest. Chaudhry Shujaat said that if the opposition remained divided, then such rulers with questionable characters, would continue to rule the nation.

He alleged that the national security commission was not doing its job on the issue of the Model Town massacre and the government was using delaying tactics to avoid accountability.
