Aitzaz cries foul play as Speaker rejects reference against PM
ISLAMABAD: Senator Aitzaz Ahsan cried foul over NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq's decision to send the reference against PTI chief Imran Khan and Jahangir Tarin while rejecting the disqualification reference against PM Nawaz Sharif.
Speaking to media personnel outside the parliament, Aitzaz Ahsan said that Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq had demonstrated bias by rejecting the opposition's disqualification reference against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif yet accepting the reference against Imran Khan.
Aitzaz further said that even the federal Finance Minister's statement against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was on record.
"I have read the allegations against the PM myself and the Prime Minister can be disqualified on most allegations," he claimed.
Aitzaz stated that it was obvious from the Speaker's actions that the government could get away by doing anything.
