ISLAMABAD: The government on Monday notified three public holidays for Eidul Azha that would be celebrated on September, 13.
According to a notification issued by the ministry of interior, September, 12, 13 and 14 would be public holidays.
Eidul Azha commemorates the willingness of Hazrat Ibrahim to sacrifice the life of his son for Allah. The timing of the holiday depends on when the new moon is seen at the start of the Zilhajj.
Eidul Azha moon was sighted on September 3 in Pakistan.
