ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) sent Raja Arshad, an accused in Fahad Malik murder case, on three-day physical remand on Friday.
ATC judge Syed Kosar Abbas Zaidi conducted the hearing where Raja Arshad was brought to the special court complex amid tight security.
Raja Arshad, who is accused of murdering former chairman senate Mian Mohammad Soomro’s nephew barrister Fahad Malik, was arrested while trying to escape to Afghanistan through Torkham border.
During the hearing defense lawyers told the court that police was not allowing them to meet accused. The judge allowed the team to discuss the case with their client in the courtroom and ordered the police to produce Arshad along with co-accused Noman Khokar on September 5.
