KARACHI: The beleaguered Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has removed name of its founder from its flag, days after Altaf Hussain’s telephonic speech which led to violence amid anti-Pakistan slogans.
Geo News on Thursday reported that MQM’s flag , which previously carried Hussain’s name, will now have its election symbol kite.

Shopkeepers say the MQM flags are now being sold without the party founder’s name, adding that they have received orders for thousands of new flags.
MQM has faced a crackdown after Altaf Hussain's speech, with authorities in Sindh razing party offices which they said were set up on government lands.
