KARACHI: Deputy Mayor of Karachi, Dr Arshad Vohra, said on Wednesday that he would bring foreign investment for the mega projects of the metropolis.
Speaking to media personnel at the Old KMC building in Karachi, Vohra said that the city's sources of income had almost depleted and lack of resources were causing hindrances. He said that the Karachi Municipal Corporation would focus on increasing the income of Karachi.
"If we make the recovery of KMC better, then only will it enhance the performance of the institution," he said.
Dr Vohra assumed responsibilities as the Deputy Mayor of Karachi and held a meeting with various members of the KMC.
Dr Arshad Vohra was sworn in as the Deputy Mayor of Karachi after fellow MQM member, Waseem Akhtar, took oath of office as the Mayor of Karachi. Both individuals had promised to provide exemplary administration to Karachi and had urged everyone to work together for the betterment of the city.
