LAHORE: Police announced a three-day security plan for the polio teams while on the other hand, the anti-polio campaign still continued on the second day in 15 different districts of Baluchistan.
Lahore police disclosed that the anti-polio campaign would last till September 2. According to the security plan, ten DSPs and twenty SHOs will be assigned duties and will provide security to 4,319 polio teams. DSPs will supervise the team working whereas SHOs will keep the security in check. Moreover eighty constables on forty bikes will be patrolling the areas where the anti-polio drives are taking place.
On the other side, anti-polio campaigns continued on the second day in various districts of Baluchistan, including Quetta. According to sources within Baluchistan Emergency Operation Center, the anti-polio campaign is being run in Pishin, Zhob, Ziarat, Qilla Abdullah, Qilla Saifullah, Loralai, Jaferabad, Naseerabad, Dera Bugti, Musakhel, Lasbela, Khuzdar, Jhal Magsi and Sheerani.
Polio teams will visit each house to make sure every child of less than 5 years age gets vaccinated against polio.
