KARACHI: Former security in-charge of MQM headquarter Nine Zero, Minhaj Qazi, has been charged for the killing of former MD KESC Shahid Hamid.
A case has been registered against Minhaj Qazi at the Defence police station for killing former MD KESC Shahid Hamid. However, Minhaj has denied all allegations of being involved in the murder of Shahid Hamid. The Court issued a notice to summon the witnesses of the case in the next hearing that would be held on September 26, next month.
Saulat Mirza, who was convicted for killing Karachi Electric Supply Company’s Managing Director Shahid Hamid, his guard and driver, was hanged last year in Macch Jail. Shahid Hamid was shot to death in 1997.
An anti-terrorism court had already named MQM chief Altaf Hussain and five other members of the party as wanted.
