KARACHI: The crackdown against the illegally constructed offices of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) continued in the city as two more were demolished on Monday.

According to details, two unit office numbers 50 and 51 located in the Soldier Bazaar area were razed down with the help of heavy machinery in the overnight operation. Till now, more than 32 illegally constructed offices of MQM have been demolished while 200 party offices have already been sealed.

Apart from the MQM offices being sealed, portraits of MQM founder Altaf Hussain have also been removed from all over Karachi and other cities in Sindh. According to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, only those offices that are allegedly built on government property and lands allotted for parks and other public places are being flattened.

The operation to demolish MQM's illegally constructed offices began immediately after party chief Altaf Hussain's instigating anti-Pakistan speech turned violent when scores of MQM workers attacked ARY News' office.
