KARACHI: As many as seven suspects were taken into custody as police carried out raids in different areas of the city, Geo News reported on Tuesday.
The police also claimed to have seized weapons during the raids. In a separate incident three people were wounded upon resistance during a robbery in Korangi, police officials and rescue sources said.
The police shot and injured a suspected robber within the remits of Mominabad Police Station. The police said the suspect was involved in a murder and armed robberies.
Arrests were made in raids conducted in Ittehad Town Lyari's Bihar Colony and Agra Taj areas.
