CM Sindh says MQM’s illegal offices being razed on his directives

ISLAMABAD: Sindh Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) offices, established illegally, were being demolished on his directives.

Speaking to Geo News programme, ‘Capital Talk’, Murad Ali Shah said one illegal office of Pakistan People’s Party has also been razed.

Murad said, “I cannot even speak to ban any political party. If there are terrorists or criminal elements in MQM, they should be eliminated.”

Murad Ali Shah said that MQM leader Farooq Sattar took a commendable step abrogating the authority of party founder Altaf Hussain.

It would be difficult for MQM to run its activities if Farooq Sattar had not abolished veto power of MQM founder.

“Mukka Chowk was actually Liaquat Ali Khan Chowk, it has only been restored,” he said on renaming the Mukka Chowk.

About the arrest of MQM’s women activists, CM Sindh said five or six baton-wielding MQM women workers, who were vandalizing at media office have been apprehended.

During the show, the chief minister lamented that Sindh is being neglected in the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

Sindh province has potential to end energy crisis in of the country, he asserted.

Commenting on National Action Plan, Murad said law and order is the issue of entire country and we all have to work together for it.

Sindh province worked most on implementation of NAP, he asserted.

He said Sharjeel Memon and Owais Muzzaffar Tapi would return to Pakistan soon.

“No one is above the law”, he said and added that he himself faced allegations being MP.

Murad Ali Shah said his special focus was on education and health sectors, adding that he had given the portfolio of education and health to experienced politicians.
