KARACHI: MQM's senior leader Dr Farooq Sattar said on Sunday that those who had deserted and left the party would soon rejoin.
Speaking to media personnel, Sattar said that now the wheel would turn the other way and those who had deserted the party, would soon rejoin its ranks. Farooq Sattar said that even now, he demanded MQM headquarter Nine Zero should be opened.
"MQM should be allowed to serve the people through local bodies institutions," he said. "The party should be allowed to take part in political activities," he stated.
He refused to comment on former MQM MNA Asif Hasnain, who earlier during the day, left the party and joined Mustafa Kamal's Pak Sarzameen Party. Sattar said that he would discuss the issue regarding Asif Hasnain in a press conference on Monday.
He said that even today, extrajudicial killings of MQM workers were taking place.
