LAHORE: The government has sent a reference to the British authorities seeking action against MQM founder for inciting violence in Pakistan, said Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid.
Speaking to media after visiting a textile exhibition at Lahore’s Expo Centre, Pervaiz Rashid said, “Pakistani government itself cannot take any action against MQM founder as he is a British citizen.”
He said Pakistan government is in contact with British government over the matter of MQM founder.
The information minister remarked a man in London cannot shut Karachi down now. Earlier shutter down strikes and transport used to remain off the roads on just one call of the MQM founder chief but now the situation has changed, he added.
The people living in the port city have severed all ties with the MQM founder.
