ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has stated that Finance Minister was ready to provide funds for e-passport project, therefore, he (Nisar) wanted the project be initiated at the earliest.
This he said while presiding over a high-level meeting attended by officials of National Counter Terrorism Authority Pakistan (NACTA), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Interior Ministry, police and others on Friday.
Secretary Home Ministry, Arif Khan informed the meeting that pilot project of e-passport will be finalized within three months.
Nisar lauded efforts of interior ministry, saying that major changes have occurred due to it.
