KARACHI/LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: The country is expected to receive rainfall on Saturday and Sunday, as a new rain system is about to enter the country from Rajasthan.
The Met office has predicted a light drizzle for Karachi on Saturday and Sunday while Lahore and rest of Punjab will receive rainfall with regular intervals, for the next three to four days. Lahore has received 90 millimeter rainfall since Thursday night, as the monsoon season has once again had its effect on some parts of the country.
The Met office has warned that the rain system will enter Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Sindh from Punjab. Rainfall is expected in Punjab for the next three to four days with regular intervals and then the system will follow onto Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Karachi will not receive heavy rain but most likely, the metropolis will receive a light drizzle.
On August 27 and 28, some parts of Karachi are expected to receive light rainfall while others would just receive a light drizzle, according to the Met office. The Met office also predicted that in September, two to three new rain systems will enter the country due to which Karachi will receive heavy rainfall.
