KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon on Thursday said that a decision has been made to regularise all Islamic madrassahs (seminaries) in Sindh against the backdrop of newly approved National Action Plan (NAP) to eradicate terrorism and extremism.
Speaking during a meeting of the provincial apex committee held at the CM House, he said that 64 terrorism related cases from Sindh would be forwarded to the military courts.
Sources told Geo News that the minister also informed the meeting that the anti-terrorism force in the province would be comprised of 1,000 officials.
He said nine suspects have been arrested for wall chalking while police have also nabbed 191 illegal immigrants from the province.
Rangers officials, meanwhile, briefed the meeting that 84 terrorists have been arrested in Sindh.
