He said that everyone should do their duties and do them at the right time.

The Chief Minister of Sindh said that he had learnt a lot from former CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah.

Murad said that during the past few days, peace had been disturbed in Karachi but owing to the timely action by security forces and effective steps taken by LEAs, the situation had been placed under control. Murad Ali Shah said that his government was trying to improve the state of police in Sindh and was also working towards increasing the security of media houses in Pakistan.

The Sindh Chief Minister said that after the event that occurred on August 22, he thought a lot would happen the next day.

"The people of Karachi and security agencies have broken fear," he said.

He also said that children were being given unique opportunities so that they could keep away from nefarious activities. Murad stated that political offices of MQM had been sealed due to security reasons.

The Sindh CM said that he was working for the elections of 2018 and also wanted to establish an example of good governance. For that, he said, everyone will be brought on board to solve the problems of the province.

The Sindh Chief Minister further said that even after the events of August 22, instead of postponing the elections, polling was conducted as scheduled and the situation remained relatively calm.

Talking about the mayor of Karachi, Waseem Akhtar being behind bars, Murad said that he did not like the fact that the new mayor of Karachi was imprisoned. He also said that whatever rights and powers the mayor had by law, he would grant them.
