KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan People's Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has congratulated the newly elected Mayors, Deputy Mayors, Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of PPP who swept local bodies elections across Sindh and urged them to take on the Hercules task of providing all the basic civic amenities at their door-steps.
In a message, after the flow of congratulations poured in following landslide victories of PPP candidates, the PPP Chairman said that people of Sindh have entrusted them and party a massive mandate of local governance.
"Let the newly-elected heads give their best performance and prove that the PPP and people made a very good decision to elect them," he stated.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that PPP was proud that it gave adequate representation for the first time to the minority communities in Local Government besides nominating woman as Chairman and also inducting them into Sindh Cabinet.
