KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said on Wednesday that he wished to establish exemplary peace and brotherhood in Sindh, on the occasion of the mayoral elections in Karachi.
On the occasion of the mayoral elections in Karachi, the provincial government has taken strict measures to ensure security for the citizens of Karachi. Sindh Chief Minister tasked police officers to listen to the complaints of citizens in a friendly atmosphere and do their best to resolve all complaints.
"I myself will check every lockup and police station," warned Murad Ali Shah.
Murad Ali Shah ordered police officers as well as SHOs to carry out operations and activities against criminal elements in the city without any discrimination of any sort. Murad also ordered police to continue their patrolling across the city to ensure everything runs smoothly in Karachi on the day of the mayoral elections.
"If every person sees to his own duties and responsibilities, all problems would be resolved by themselves," he said. "Every SSP should monitor the performance of his own police station," he added. The Sindh CM said that he would keep an eye on the activities of SSPs and stated that there was a mechanism in place to gauge their performance.
Murad Ali Shah also issued orders that every single person who was involved in the attack on a private news channel in Karachi on Monday, should be arrested.
