SKARDU: A fatal accident claimed the lives of eight people, including five women, when a car fell inside a ditch on Sunday.
According to details, a car fell into a ditch in Skardu's Satpara area, causing the deaths of eight people. Among the right who died due to the accident, five of them included women. Police disclosed that the accident occurred when a car was trying to turn in another direction, when it fell into a ditch. One girl was injured in the accident.
The injured girl as well as the bodies of the deceased were shifted to the district hospital. The car was on its way to Skardu from Deosai when it encountered the accident. The inhabitants of the vehicle belonged to the district Ghanche's Khaplu area.
The victims of the accident had gone to Deosai for recreation purposes.
