ISLAMABAD: It was decided in the National Action Plan meeting held on Thursday that a Monitoring Task Force would be formed to ensure implementation of the plan.
According to details, the meeting was presided by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House. It was decided to form a Monitoring Task Force which would contain both members of the federal and provincial governments. The relevant agencies of the federal and provincial governments will also be part of the task force.
PM Nawaz said during the meeting that prompt and effective decisions should be taken to eliminate terrorism from the country. He said that there should be no stone unturned in implementing all points of the National Action Plan.
The meeting was attended by senior members of the civil and military leadership, including army chief General Raheel Sharif and Adviser to the PM on National Security Naseer Janjua as well as Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, among others.
An earlier meeting regarding the implementation of the National Action Plan had been held on Wednesday in which it had been decided that the federal government would provide all resources to the provincial governments to ensure the implementation of the National Action Plan.
