RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf has informed the district administration that it will conduct its rally in Rawalpindi on August 13.
According to details, the party representatives have written a letter to the district administration, informing them of the party's rally on August 13. PTI chief Imran Khan himself will lead the rally, like he did in Peshawar a couple of days ago. The letter was written by PTI's MPA Raja Rashid Hafeez to the DCO Rawalpindi, informing him of the party's intention to conduct its rally on the said date and the route that would be taken.
As per the letter, the rally would commence from Mareer Chowk in Rawalpindi and will conclude at Islamabad, led by PTI chairman Imran Khan. The district administration has been asked to provide security to the participants of the rally and also devise a traffic plan.
Imran Khan has announced a series of protest rallies against the Nawaz Sharif-led federal government, which would end with a final one at Lahore. Imran has denounced Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's reluctance to hold himself and the Sharif family accountable in connection with the disclosures contained in the Panama Papers.
