A trial of a mother who has been accused of killing her three children has grown out of the Massachusetts courtroom and gripped and divided spectators over the question of Lindsay Clancy's fate.

On the accused's side, a plethora of women have backed her inside and outside the court.

Some have even started a trend on TikTok, showing themselves holding their babies and using phrases such as 'same, Lindsay.'

These words are somewhat associated with the accused writings allegedly expressing her emotional struggles.

However, the trend angered some online users. They believed a real-life incident had turned into an internet spectacle.

Critics also pointed out that some TikTokers making videos in support of Clancy are not discussing her but instead only performing what they say is 'grief.'

This has risked, commentators say, trivializing the family's tragedy.

Other than that, critics say creators have crossed a line by adding their own babies to the clips, according to TRT.

In the wake of criticism, some have even called for the videos to be taken down from social media platforms.

Meanwhile, the verdict on Clancy is near, as the jury's deliberations are almost over about the accused, who pleaded not guilty of killing her three children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan, at her home in Duxbury in 2023.
