Body found in Bow River near Canmore as RCMP launch investigation

RCMP are investigating after a Canmore man was found dead in the Bow River on Sunday morning.
Police and paramedics were called to the river between Canmore and the Bow River Campground at around 9:40 AM following reports of a person in the water.
Emergency crews attended the scene, where paramedics determined the man, aged 52, was dead. Paramedics later left the area, while RCMP remained at the scene.
Police have not released the identity of the man or provided details about how he may have entered the water.
Canmore RCMP said officers are investigating the circumstances leading up to his death.
No further information about the incident or whether police consider the death suspicious has been released.
