'Mormon Wives' Taylor Frankie Paul finally seeks professional help after special 'recommendation'
'Everyone is just trying to protect' Taylor Frankie Paul's kids after her domestic violence incident
Taylor Frankie Paul voluntarily checked into a rehabilitation center upon a serious suggestion.
An insider told PEOPLE magazine that the 32-year-old American reality television personality and social media influencer entered “a facility upon the recommendation of her doctor.”
The source stated that it was a "voluntary" stay, as she is now “committed to getting better.”
Another source told the same outlet that "the people around Taylor want her to get help” because they really "want to see her get better."
"Everyone is just trying to protect the kids,” the insider shared, referring to Paul’s three kids.
She welcomed her eight-year-old daughter Indy and six-year-old son Ocean with ex-husband Tate Paul and two-year-old son Ever with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
Notably, this comes after Paul and Mortensen’s domestic assault investigation regarding the incident that happened on February 24 and 25 of this year.
During the time when investigations were ongoing, TMZ posted a video from a 2023 incident in which Paul can be seen screaming and throwing chairs at Mortensen in the presence of their son.
In 2023, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star was taken into custody for reported domestic violence. She pled guilty in abeyance to aggravated assault, which means if she fulfills the conditions mentioned in the plea, she will be freed from that charge, while other charges have already been dismissed.
On March 19, Mortensen filed for a protective order against his ex-girlfriend and on April 7, Paul also filed for a protective order followed by the cancelling of charges against her by prosecutors, as per PEOPLE's report.
It is pertinent to mention that as of now, Taylor Frankie Paul has been granted the custody of her son Ever on the same midweek day each week without overnights as well as alternating weekends, while Dakota Mortensen will be his "custodial parent" on holidays.
