Former Traitors contestant has become a target of phishing scam, which he claims has wiped out £40,000 worth of his savings.

The 35-year-old reality star, who hails from Yarm near Middlesbrough, said the money was invested in cryptocurrency and had been set aside for the future, including plans to start a family with his wife.

"It feels like your world's just collapsing," he recalled the January incident in a recent statement to BBC. "You work solidly for years to build this up, and it's just gone".

Little revealed he has been unable to recover any of the stolen funds since the incident took place in January. Despite reporting the incident to Action Fraud, there has not yet been a full investigation, he shared.

"I like to think I'm savvy, but it can catch anyone," he said. "It's really scary."

The scam began when he received text messages that appeared to come from a trusted bank. The messages claimed there had been several attempts to access his account and advised him to call a number for assistance.

Little said he followed the instructions and spoke to someone he believed was a legitimate bank representative. During the call, he logged into his online account and did not suspect anything was wrong because he was not asked for passwords or verification codes.

"They were somehow able to hack into the web page I would normally interact with," he said. "Before I knew it, the phone went dead and everything had gone."

Little admitted he has been spending time researching cybercrime and fraud ever since, discovering how widespread such scams have become.

UK’s Office for National Statistics says around 4.6 million people fall victim to cybercrime and fraud each year, with reported cases rising by 31% between 2024 and 2025.

Little now hopes sharing his story will help others avoid becoming victims.
