Why Billy Ray Cyrus wants to marry girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley ASAP
Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley have been together for a year
Billy Ray Cyrus reportedly wants to marry his girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley as soon as possible.
On Tuesday, an insider spilled to In Touch Weekly that the 64-year-old country singer's greatest fear is that Elizabeth could walk away if he doesn't pop the question soon.
"He absolutely wants to spend the rest of his life with her," the source said, "The real question is, and continues to be, how badly does Liz want to be in a marriage when she's very happy with the arrangement they have right now?"
It is worth mentioning here that Elizabeth was previously in a relationship with businessman Arun Nayar. The two ended their marriage in 2011 after four years.
She later admitted in a 2020 interview with Tatler that she wasn't sure if she would ever get married again.
"I'd definitely be open to the idea of being loved, loving someone, having someone fantastic in my life and sharing it," the model explained. "I don't know if marriage comes into that to be honest … but I would like someone for companionship, fun."
Now, sources claim that Elizabeth "will judge Billy Ray's proposal, and his actual seriousness, when it comes."
For those unversed, Billy was previously wed to Cindy Smith and Tish Cyrus.
"When one of his relationships falls apart, it happens in spectacular fashion and Liz is not ignorant about his history," the source revealed. "She knows just as well as he does that this could all end very badly."
"Billy Ray loves what he and Liz have built together [and] he has put himself under tremendous pressure to keep moving things forward," the insider added. "Liz is much more laid back about the whole timetable, and she certainly hasn't been pressuring him to pop the question. This is all being driven by him, for better or worse!"
