Son of Crown Princess of Norway sentenced to prison over two counts of rape
The son of the Crown Princess of Norway has found himself behind bars
The son of Norway’s Crown Princess, Marius Borg Hoiby, has landed himself in hot waters, and behind bars, sentenced to four years in prison after being accused of rape.
An Oslo court found him guilty for over two counts, as of Monday.
What is pertinent to mention about the 29-year-old is that he is Crown Princess Mette-Marit's son from a previous relationship, well before she married Crown Prince Haakon.
The charges he faced were the maximum possible, with over 40 charges laden against him, mounting to almost 16 years of jail time.
The timeline also dates back to 2018-2024, and most of the women who ended up lodging their petitions were sleeping or largely unable.
Another count he has been charged with is domestic abuse against an ex-girlfriend, as well as the issuing of threats, and also some traffic violations, however two of the four charges of rape he found himself acquitted from.
