Dua Lipa shells out payments to pacify angry locals over wedding extravaganza.

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are in Palermo, an Italian city, this week for a three-day star-studded marriage celebration.

Both are over the moon as they enjoy their wedding extravaganza, which reportedly cost a whopping £1.5 million.

However, there is a section of people who were unhappy over the high-pitched celebrations.

They are locals who were in a protest and declared their city is "not for rent."

To pacify them, Lipa, with a net worth of $45 million, has opened her purse.

According to The Metro, the pop icon, at first, shelled out £5,000.

She handed out the money to the residents — as compensation — who were affected by parking restrictions due to the wedding festivities.

At the union, a non-stop party is expected, so to prevent complaints from the nearby residents, Lipa reportedly made a decision.

She booked several Airbnb properties for them.

'Dream wedding'

Amid these measures, Lipa and Turner have put up a dazzling wedding event in scenic Sicliy.

An insider told The Metro, "Dua and Callum have put together the most incredible itinerary for their celebrations in Sicily."

"The last-minute preparations have been hectic — and she’s been back and forth to Italy for dress fittings — but it’s all coming together perfectly," the source concluded.

It is worth noting that Turner and Lipa have previously tied the knot in a private ceremony.
