KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that his party fought the general elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir for a greater cause of the people of Kashmir as silence of the Federal government of PML-N over atrocities in Indian Held Kashmir was causing greater harm to the cause of the people of occupied valley.

“We filliped the Kashmir issue through our electioneering and foiled the veiled attempts of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to make it a dormant international issue because of his friendship with Modi,” he said while talking to the party candidates in AJK elections at Bilawal House on Tuesday.

PPP Chairman said that though it was not a normal election and we knew that all the available tactics under the sun will be adopted to hijack the elections but we decided to fight and to be on the right side of history and who fought bravely for the sacred cause of Kashmiris.

“The way the pre-poll rigging, utilization of Kashmir Council funds and interference of Federal Ministers were carried out, we knew the results but I am proud that none of our colleagues left us and we are intact again,” he stated while addressing the PPP AJK Leaders.
