“It was right around the time my boys were born and we kind of were set up in L.A. and not enjoying it, you know?” Chris revealed. “Like, nothing was shooting there. We were filming kind of everywhere else.”
One of the main reasons behind leaving the city was the privacy breach by paparazzi.
“And then we’d come home and [there’d be] paparazzi, and all the sort of trappings of living in that space," Chris added.
It is pertinent to mention that Chris shared daughter India Rose and twin sons Sasha and Tristan with wife Elsa Pataky.
Now, Chris lives a peaceful life with his family in Australia.

“We lived about 20 minutes from the main sort of suburban areas in Melbourne up in the hills. And the nearest neighbor was a kilometer or two away. It was just all bushland and rainforest sort of set up around us,” he added. “And so we would just [have] outdoors adventures and play different characters.”
