Sadie Sink reflects on emotional episode 7 reunion of 'Stranger Things'
Sadie Sink addressed how the cast reacted to Max waking up in episode 7 of 'Stranger Things'
Sadie Sink has weighed in on the fan-favorite seventh episode of Stranger Things, offering insight into the emotional impact it had on both viewers and the cast.
During her latest confessional with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress was asked how it felt when the cast learned that her character, Max, would finally wake up after being unconscious for three years.
“I can’t remember if we did a table read for episode seven,” Sink shared at the outset.
She went on to explain that while Max's return was always expected, the uncertainty around how and when it would happen made the moment even more meaningful.
“I mean, we all knew she was going to wake up eventually. She had to, but we didn’t know how or when,” she said, adding that the scene quickly became one of her favorites to film.
“It had been so long since I had acted with my friends that I’ve been with for 10 years.”
Reflecting on the episode's emotional core, Sink noted, “It was a sweet moment to have amid all the craziness, and was a good reminder of how human this show is at times.”
She concluded by praising the reunion between Max and Lucas, saying, “Seeing Max and Lucas' bond and that reunion felt very, very special. And it was so emotional to watch.”
