KARACHI: The Supreme Court refused petitioner Imran Shehzad’s appeal to form a JIT team for the investigation of Amjad Sabri murder case on Friday.
During the hearing of the case, Imran Shehzad said that he was working for a private firm and also ran an NGO as well. The court remarked on this statement that should he be included in the JIT team to probe Amjad Sabri’s murder?
Court refused the appeal because Imran Shahzad didn’t provide his job details on which the court showed anger.
Amjad Sabri was a renowned qawwal who was shot dead in Karachi in June by armed assailants on a motorcycle in Karachi's Liaquatabad area. Sabri was on his way to a private TV channel's studio in Karachi when he was gunned down in Liaquatabad.
