RAWALPINDI: Customs officials on Friday recovered 1150 grams of heroin from a passenger’s suitcase at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport.
According to the details, suspect Azizullah was carrying drugs in his luggage and was trying to smuggle the heroin to Saudi Arabia via a private airline. Azizullah was identified as the resident of Sargodha.
Custom authorities arrested the suspect and have initiated investigation from the detainee.
Passengers are usually seen trying to carry drugs, gold or currency abroad illegally but are nabbed by security officials during checking.
