Barry Keoghan confirms role in Netflix’s Peaky Blinders movie
The film also introduces new characters, including Rebecca Ferguson
Barry Keoghan has shared new details about his role in Netflix’s upcoming Peaky Blinders film, The Immortal Man.
The movie, which will see Cillian Murphy return as Tommy Shelby, is set for a cinema release on March 6, 2026, before arriving on Netflix two weeks later.
While Keoghan’s casting was announced last year, his character had remained under wraps until now.
More has come to light about Keoghan's role now, as he will play the leader of a new generation of Peaky Blinders in 1940s Birmingham.
A first-look has also emerged, showing the actor fronting a group of flat-capped men.
In a recent interview, Keoghan admitted he feels the weight of the show’s legacy, particularly when it comes to delivering its most famous line.
“I feel like I shouldn’t be allowed to say it,” he told Empire Magazine of the phrase “By order of the Peaky Blinders.”
“It’s such an iconic line,” the Irish actor added.
Keoghan said he had long hoped to be part of the Peaky Blinders universe but that earlier opportunities never aligned. “The schedules never worked, or I didn’t fit the description of what they were looking for,” he explained.
That changed when Murphy personally reached out. "I said, 'Of course, bro. At the drop of a hat,'" Keoghan recalled. “Anything to work with yourself again.”
The film also introduces new characters, including Rebecca Ferguson as Kaulo, a mysterious figure described as an acquaintance of Tommy Shelby.
