Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are reportedly all set to return to the world of The Hunger Games!
As per THR, the 35-year-old actress will reprise her role as Katniss Everdeen in the anticipated 2026 prequel, The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping, while the 33-year-old actor will once again play Peeta Mellark.
However, further details about the new sequel are currently under wraps.
Shortly after the announcement, the series' fans flocked over to X to express their excitement over the pair's return to the franchise.
One of the social media users penned, "this is how FANDOMS SHOULD BE HONORED,' while another commented, "this is what we've been waiting for."
"Jennifer Lawrence AND Josh Hutcherson returning... cinema is SO back," wrote a third person.
"The originals returning? This is HUGE," typed a fourth one.
Earlier this year, Josh expressed his desire to return to the Hunger Games franchise.
“I would love to be back on set with Francis, with Jen, with Liam [Hemsworth], with Woody,” he told Variety.
“It would not take any convincing at all. I’d be there in a heartbeat," added Josh.
