Alison Brie shares simple fix for stress-free holiday
Alison Brie reflects on how to deal with stress while being on holiday with family
Alison Brie and her husband, Dave Franco, both had stressful schedules because they are actors. But when they go on holiday with each other’s families, stress does not leave them either.
"The holidays are about family in a way that is beautiful, but can also be a little stressful," she tells People, adding that she, however, had a simple fix for this to manage the stress.
It should be through teamwork, says the star. "So I think in a marriage, it's nice to kind of be one another's allies, acknowledge the kookiness of it all."
She continues, "I think the key to a happy marriage during the holiday season is being able to acknowledge privately, together, all the quirks of each other's families with no judgment.”
Alison also adds that when they, as a couple, face such a situation, they vent to each other. The actress says, "Venting with one another is more accepted and loved."
So, when it comes to fixing it, Alison shares that she and Dave try to “divide and conquer” regarding holiday shopping for families.
"I will do the shopping for my family. He will do the shopping for his family, and the gifts are given from both of us," she adds.
It is worth noting that Alison and Dave tied the knot in 2017. The pair has no children.
