Robert Irwin, the son of ate conservationist Steve Irwin won Dancing with the Stars title
A decade after his older sister Bindi's victory at the Dancing with the Stars, Robert Irwrin has won the same title.
The son of the late conservationist Steve Irwin was favored to win with his stellar performances over the popular US dancing competition's 11 weeks.
His performances included a tribute to his late father and a surprise appearance from his sister Bindi.
During the finale on Tuesday evening, Irwin and his dance partner Witney Carson also performed to songs by Avicii and Sydney-born Sam Sparro.
They later won the "instant dance challenge", where Irwin and Carson were told the style and song minutes before taking to the stage.
Irwin, who competed in the final despite having a rib injury, beat fellow finalists including influencer Alix Earle and Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles.
According to BBC, this came despite three contestants - not including Irwin - earning a perfect score of 30 for their first dances. However, Irwin got a perfect score not long after.
His exact scores were: Judges' Choice Round (Quickstep): 29/30, Instant Dance Challenge (Cha Cha): 30/30, Freestyle Round: 30/30
In 2018, the family of late Australian conservationist and "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin followed in his footsteps with a television show dedicated to their wildlife conservation work.
"Crikey! It's the Irwins" followed Irwin's wife Terri and their two children, Bindi and Robert, looking after animals at their Australia Zoo in Queensland as well as heading out on various expeditions.
