Sadie Sink shuts down 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' viral theory
Sadie Sink clarifies a theory regarding her character in 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'
When fans spotted Sadie Sink's red hair, they believed she might be playing Jean Grey from X-Men or Rachel Cole-Alves from The Punisher in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The star, who is currently shooting for the Marvel movie, took the air out of the theory in the latest interview.
“A lot of people forget that hair color can change,” she tells Entertainment Weekly. “But, yeah, I understand all of the theories.”
But before fans noticed her red hair, rumours about Sadie playing Jean had been circulating on the internet before she even came on board for Spider-Man. “I was like, ‘Wait! What are people talking about?’”
Meanwhile, it's unclear what character the actress is playing, and she is keeping the secret close to her chest.
This is a similar approach Sadie used in her role on Stranger Things. As Max Mayfield, her character, went into a coma in a previous season after an encounter with Vecna.
“People will just have to wait and see,” she adds. “I’m excited for all of it to maybe be put to rest.”
The first four episodes of Stranger Things season five, Vol. 1, are streaming.
