Ella Langley celebrates first CMA win
Ella Langley and Riley Green fans cheer their breakthrough win
Ella Langley, the multiplatinum country singer, achieved major milestone at the CMA awards.
The Hungover singer secured three awards all tied to her duet with Riley Green, You Look Like You Love Me.
The three out of six categories that she won, included, Single of the Year, Song of the Year and Music Video of the Year.
In her acceptance speech, while receiving Single of the Year award, she said, "I wasn't expecting to get up here so early tonight. I feel like this is a song that just keeps on giving because the fans keep on listening to it."
Green chimed in saying he was "just so glad to be a part of this song."
The 37-year-old singer went on to praise his collaborator for handling herself and "making country music really country."
He added, "Proud of you, glad to be part of this song, thank you all for making it a hit."
"These songs change our lives. I don't think people really know how true that is. They change our life. They changed my life, my family's life. I'm so grateful to be up here tonight," Langley continued.
In each category, Langley was up against, Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, Megan Moroney, Zach Top, Chris Stapleton and many more other talented artists.
It is to mention, The CMA Awards are nominated and voted on by members of the Country Music Association, which includes music executives, artists, publicists and songwriters.
The CMA Awards were broadcast live on ABC November 17.
