MULTAN: The local police in Multan have taken late Qandeel Baloch’s elder sister Shahnaz into custody and questioned after she was made part of murder investigation following revelation of mobile phone data.
Qandeel's two sisters in law along with his sister Shahnaz were also questioned by Police, it is reported. All the detainees were freed later on.
The Facebook controversial star was strangled to death by her younger brother Waseem with the help of their cousin earlier this month over so-called ‘honour’.
Waseem arrested and confessed to the killing of her sister and underwent a polygraph test in Lahore last week in which he stated that he had received a phone call from his elder brother residing in Saudi Arabia who criticised him for not doing anything after their sister was involved in a controversy with a cleric Mufti Qawi.
Qandeel’s cousin Haq Nawaz who Waseem had confessed to get help from in the crime surrendered to police in Dera Ghazi Khan and offered himself up for investigation.
After her murder, Qandeel Baloch has also been edited out of her social media handles.
Her official FB page, that hosted her photos and videos, is no longer available, and her account on Instagram, also owned by Facebook, has also been deleted.
