KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is all set to nominate the new Chief Minister of Sindh in a high level meeting of the party leadership, which is set to take place on Tuesday.
According to details, party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will preside over an important meeting of PPP's Sindh parliamentary committee scheduled to take place at Bilawal House, Karachi, in which the name of the new Chief Minister of Sindh will be finalized. The incumbent Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, is expected to announce his resignation officially and forward it to Governor Sindh Dr Isharatul Ebad.
Murad Ali Shah, a senior leader of the party from Sindh, is expected to take over the reins of the province from Qaim and become his successor. The meeting will also focus on reshuffling Sindh cabinet as well as deciding on the names of new provincial ministers and their respective portfolios.
The decision to replace Qaim Ali Shah with a new Chief Minister and make major changes in the Sindh government was made a couple of days ago during a high level PPP meeting in Dubai. The meeting was attended by PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Faryal Talpur and other senior members.
