CM Sindh leaves for Dubai to consult with top leadership on Rangers

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said decision about giving extension to Rangers stay in Sindh would be made after consultation with PPP leadership in Dubai.

Talking with media at Karachi airport on Saturday, he said he is going to Dubai to consult with PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Before flying to Dubai, the Chief Minister visited various areas of Karachi including Manzoor Colony, Saddar, Mai Kalachi and Boat Basin and inspected the cleanliness drive in the city.

Answering to a question, he described meeting with Corps Commander Karachi yesterday as productive but said final decision will be taken in consultation with the party leadership.

The Chief Minister said during his two to three days stay in Dubai overall political situation in the country will also come under discussion.

He said he had not given three days notice for the cleansing of the city. He said he was satisfied over cleansing of main roads and expressed the confidence that in the next two to three months the city would give a better look.

He said Faisal road would be expanded and improved to tackle traffic rush.

He said though the authorities are seeking six months time to cleanse the nullah but he has given them two to three months to clear four major nullah.  

Syed Qaim Ali Shah said he did not tell Minister for Local government about his visit to inspect the cleanliness and removal of garbage and he joined him later.
